I promise she was enjoying the Carousel lol

In my opinion Magic Kingdom is the park to go to if you have really small children and you're wanting to make the most of riding. There is so much they can go on here so we never once felt like either of them were missing out. Add in the shows, parades, character meets and the fireworks and you have a fun packed day ahead of you. It was amazing being able to go on everything we wanted as a family of 4 without the usual leaving someone looking after the littlest at the gate.

Below is a list of the rides we were able to take both kiddies on and are a must when visiting Mainstreet.

It's a Small World - This is a slow moving boat rides with lots of songs and colourful displays. We saw several people carrying babies smaller than ours in slings onto this ride. Be warned though you will leave this ride and have "It's a small world" stuck in your head for a while 😂.

Peter Pan's Flight - Directly opposite Small World you can find Peter Pan. This ride has an interactive queue which is a lot of fun however I reccomend getting a fastpass if you can as it can take a long time to get on the ride. I've heard people say the time above the standby queue isn't always right so you don't actually know how long it will be. The ride itself is a slow "flying" ride. You're seated in a ship and fly over London and Neverland. It's a park favourite and always very busy.

King Arthur Carousel - There is a bench on the carousel in amongst the horses which we used to sit with little man. Em was tall enough to sit on a horse alone which she enjoyed so one of us would sit on the horse beside her whilst the other sat with Matthew on the bench. We never used a fast pass on this. We found the queues went down quite quickly. The queue is mostly under cover in the shade too which helped.

The Many Adventures - This is a fab little track ride. It's so colourful and mostly glow in the dark. The queue is also interactive which helped keep madam from getting bored whilst we waited. Again we never used a fast pass on this ride as the interactive queue made it bearable 😂

Mad Hatters Tea Cups - I wouldn't recommend taking a baby on this if you have a toddler who likes to turn the wheel in the middle to go faster. These teacups are quicker than they look. I came off once feeling quite sick as Emily wanted to "go faster". Luckily we hadn't taken Matthew on at this time as he'd fallen asleep. If we had I definitely would have put a ban on the wheel spinning.

Dumbo The Flying Elephant - We loved this ride and there was no need to fasspass when we were there. The queue itself goes into a circus tent where there is a play area for the little ones. Parents are provided with a buzzer which flashes when it's your turn to ride and they can use the waiting time as a much deserved break out of the heat while the kids run riot. There is also 2 rides running side by side so we never found we had to wait long. Apparently the play area has been closed when some people have visited but we were very lucky to have it open everytime we rode during our stay. Please ensure your little ones are well covered with hats and suntan lotion on this ride as there isn't any shade once you're on.

Splash Area - *This isn't a ride but it is located just beside Dumbo. There is a small area that kids can play in the water to cool down. Circus animals throw water over you and it is great fun but make sure to pack a change of clothes/a spare nappy if your little one would want to play here as they will get WET.*

Under the Sea - Journey of the Little Mermaid - Just like Winnie, this is a very slow track ride which is great for little ones. It does get dark in the ride but there's a lot of scenes from the film which are florescent and very bright and songs from the film which we enjoyed singing along to.

Pirates of the Caribbean - This is a boat ride like Small World but has a few sharp dips at the beginning. It is quite dark so if your little ones don't like this then they may be uncomfortable. Emily was until she saw the first scenes and then she miraculously got over it 😂

Jungle Cruise - This is a riverboat cruise which takes you down several rivers in Africa, Asia and South America. You are taken on a voyage past many animatronic animals. The whole time being guided by a CM. This was a fun ride but we only went on it the once.

TomorrowLand Speedway - Emily and I absolutely loved this ride! We enjoyed driving around the track. Emily was tall enough to take the wheel as the height requirement was 32 inches to drive whilst accompanied by an adult. There is a speed limit of 7 miles an hour so you don't have to worry your little one will drive you off the tracks.

Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin - We were able to ride these as a family of 4 in 2 cars. It is a lot of fun helping Buzz fight Zurg's minions. Matthew obviously didn't understand the ride but he was very happy watching all of the florescent lights and listening to the sounds. Aladdin's Magic Carpet -This is a fun ride in which you ride a Magic Carpet around. Like Dumbo it has absolutely no shade once you are on the ride and it can be very hot. Please make sure everyone has hats and suntan lotion. Especially young children.

Of course there are rides in Magic Kingdom that Matthew couldn't go on such as Speedway and for those we made the most of the Parent Swaps available. These are amazing and they meant one parent could go on a ride with Emily whilst the other stayed with the little one and then once they had finished they could swap and the 2nd one would go on through the fast pass line rather than having to wait in the standby queue again. These are only available on rides which have height restrictions however a lovely CM gave us one when Matthew had fallen asleep just before we got to the entrance of a small ride. This saved us from having to wake him up. Parent swaps are also good as any older children get to go on the ride more than once which keeps them occupied 💪. Emily would queue with the first parent and then would go on through the fast pass line with the second parent as the return ticket would cover for up to 3 or 4 guests.

To get a parent swap all you have to do is go to the first CM at the entrance and explain you have a baby and they will give you a lanyard. Wait in the standby queue as normal and then give the lanyard to the next CM at the ride and they will exchange it for a fast pass which is normally valid for the rest of the day or until a certain date depending on which ride it is.

I hope this helps when planning your itenary 🤗
