About Me

Hi, my name is Clare. I live in the North East of England. I'm 32 and a Disney mum to 2 gorgeous little ones. 6 year old Emily and 2 year old Matthew. We took our "once in a lifetime" trip to Walt Disney World in June 2017. We took the trip when little man was only 8months old and Emily 4. People often tell me it was the wrong time to take the holiday as Matthew was "too young" and that he "won't remember it" but it was actually the perfect time for us. I was still feeling quite vulnerable from a very tough 2nd pregnancy and being there in an environment that is pretty much run on smiles and fairy dust really helped me and it also rekindled my love of all things Disney. I also have some AMAZING memories and photos of the little ones which will last a lifetime.

I'm am now currently organising our 3rd "once in a life time" holiday for this year back to WDW! After each trip I have been able to wait a whole 2 weeks after being home before I booked up again! They do say the only way to get over the Disney blues is to book another and it seemed to have helped!

We've been to Disneyland Paris 3 times previously but the last time was 2014 . I am taking Miss Em back in April this year for a girls only long weekend which I am excited about! Especially the leaving the boys at home part! (That doesn't mean I don't love them but at the time Jon had told me he was planning a lads weekend away and so I thought it was only fair us girlies have one too!)  For this trip we are travelling from the North East to London via train and then the remaining part of the journey will be on the Eurostar which we have never been on so it will be a whole new adventure for us. I'm quite excited that the Eurostar stops right outside Disney!

I won't lie people think I am absolutely batty visiting Disney as often as we do buy in my eyes it's a way of travelling the world WITH the kids. Some people believe that once you have children then that's it! travelling is over! But why should it be?Disney provides us with the perfect way to incorporate travelling and family time without the kids getting bored!

I have this crazy plan in my head that we will get to the other parks around the world and maybe even stretch to going on a Disney Cruise! I know it's going to be a long term plan as we can probably only get there every year and a half - 2/3 years but it's nice to have a dream.

At home I'm currently learning the art of Disney ear making in the hope of cutting costs during our trip (my niece and mum will also be joining us on this next trip and 4 girlies wanting ears in Disney wouldn't be cheap) I absolutely love making them and hope to keep making them with the idea of maybe selling them in the future. I'm 6 weeks into a dress making course too and so hopefully I will be able to expand to clothes and accessories for our trips.

I opened my Instagram account in September 2017 as somewhere to keep my newly returned obsession and to document any progress so as not to fill up my friends feeds.  By doing so I've found the most amazing community who have welcomed me and share my love.

I've argued with myself on numerous occasions recently about what I can do to add a little bit extra to our feed as I see so many amazing people vlogging and I just wish I had the confidence to do that as it looks so much fun but I've always loved photographs and so I've decided to try my hand at blogging. I've finally ordered myself a new camera after years of putting it off and I'm hoping to take a short photography course after my holiday to help me learn the basics on getting the best from the camera for our feed.

My plan for this site is for it to just be an extension of my Instagram page with maybe a few more reviews and tips that I find along the way.

When I went to WDW I don't think I really appreciated how much there is to know and do or how big WDW is until I was there. I am no way saying this site will be better than others that are out there but I'm going to give it a try.  If I can help even just one person in their planning then I will treat that as a job well done.

Thank you for joining me and my gorgeous little family on our travels to find fairy dust. Please remember this is new for me so please be kind. If there is something you think I could do better I am always happy for advice.
