It's all about the clothes

Now that the hard part of arranging a WDW holiday is over (you know the planning, the stressing over reservations and whether there will be any of the sought after fast passes left at 12:01pm on release day and the eating nothing but beans on toast until the holiday is paid off part) we can start enjoying our countdown!
With 3 weeks to go (yey!) we will soon be getting the suitcases down to start packing and so we are constantly on the look out for Disney inspired clothes wherever we go.
Nowadays there are so many amazing shops - big and small - that offer Disney inspired clothes for adults and kids that we really have been spoilt for choice this year! I love that the world is now accepting that adults love Disney, Harry Potter and other fandoms just as much as children...if not more! "Adults are only kids grown up anyway" as Walt said.
I'm really liking the character clothes from Primark, Matalan, Sports Direct and Tesco for the little ones. I find they are really good quality and not overly expensive and they wash really well but I do prefer to go elsewhere for my own Disney clothes as I'm tall and find everything ill fitting on me.
I find the Disney shorts in Primark are more like hot pants and so I can only wear them around the pool with the vest tops and the normal tees are way too short in the body which would not be pleasant for anyone to see haha.

I do however, love the range of Disney, socks and PJ's in Primark (who doesn't) and last year I used a few of the pyjama tops as t-shirts whilst in the park. They were longer in the body and a lot cooler that a normal t-shirt and I got a lot of compliments so I will definitely be doing the same this year.
My go to shops for my own clothes so far have been Shop Disney UK, Carolina's Dress Shop, Rock Paper Sisters and EMP but I am always on the look out for more UK shops so if anyone has any recommendations please let me know :)
When choosing our outfits my first priory has to be comfort. It is a long way for us to travel to spend the whole holiday too hot and bothered with clothes that don't fit right or shoes that hurt. For my dresses I have bought a couple of pairs of shorts to go under to stop rubbing and I have chosen longer denim shorts or cropped trousers to team with my tees. Last year I took a few pairs of really pretty fabric shorts that just kept riding up constantly making me very uncomfortable and very miserable at the end of a day walking around the parks.
I ended up packing them back into my case for the rest of the trip and spent my holiday alternating the same 2 pairs of shorts! (I was very thankful for the laundrette haha)
We as a family wear trainers with small socks when out and about on holiday but I know a lot of people have found different types of sandals/ shoes comfortable. Last year I was able to find a pair of really comfortable cheap workout trainers in Primark which I wore for the whole holiday without any issue however this year I haven't been able to find any that don't rub and I am still on the hunt. My only advice for shoes would be to visit stores and try on different styles as what is right for one person may not be for someone else. Even if you then go back home and order the same pair on online for cheaper which is what my mum has done with her Sketchers Go Walks.

I have picked up a pair of the new Primark Mickey trainers for the plane but I'm not holding out much hope they will be comfortable all holiday and so I have a shopping day booked in for the end of September to go and try different styles on and then check the prices online.
I have tried to add some more accessories to my outfits this year. Pins, bags and badges mostly and I have made a few pair of my own ears. I've never really been a girlie girl so this is all new to me haha but it has been a lot of fun picking out a few that I would like to show off around the parks. I can see why people get addicted to pins as there are so many amazing designs. I have bought all of mine from small shops on Instagram and I will definitely share these with you on here soon.
I absolutely love Disney bags but unfortunately my bank balance doesn't allow for holidays and that obsession and so I have been on the hunt for cheaper alternatives to go with my outfits. For those of you who follow me on IG you will have seen a few of the character inspired bags I managed to pick up in Home Bargains recently for only £6.99 and I'm hoping to pick up a few more before I go. I think these have added that little bit extra to my planned outfits without the hefty price tags.
